HTML HGroup Tag

HTML HGroup TagHTML Hgroup tag <hgroup> is used to group headings in a webpage.

In other words we can say that whenever a webpage has multiple levels of headings then we can use the HGroup tag <hgroup> to group all the headings together.

HGroup tag can group <h1> to <h6> headings on a webpage having multiple levels of headings in it.

Note: Hgroup tag is new in HTML 5.

HTML Cite Tag

HTML Cite TagHTML Cite tag <cite> is used to classify a label or title for some work like book, painting, song etc.

In HTML 4.01 the Cite tag is used for citation whereas in HTML 5 Cite tag is used for labeling or providing title for some work as mentioned above.

Cite HTML tag <cite> is a closed tag needs closing Cite html tag </cite>

Note: Someone’s name can’t be used in HTML Cite tag as the name of a person is not title or label of work.

HTML TT Tag

HTML TT TagHTML Tt Tag <tt> is used to define teletype text in any HTML Resource or webpage.

HTML Tt tag <tt> is not supported in HTML 5 but is supported in HTML 4.01.


Syntax of HTML Tt Tag

In the example of HTML Tt Tag output above, we can see that the “This text is in teletype” is being displayed in a different font because we have wrapped it in HTML Tt Tag.

HTML Rp TagHTML Rp tag <rp> defines what to display if the HTML Ruby tag is not supported in browser. In other words we can say that, the HTML Rp Tag defines what will be rendered on the browser if the browser does not support HTML Ruby Tag.

HTML Rp tag is used with the HTML Ruby Tag and HTML Rt Tag.

The HTML Ruby tag defines the Chinese or Japanese Characters which needs to be helped in pronunciation and the HTML Rt Tag shows the required pronunciation.

HTML 5 Rp tag is a closed tag and needs HTML 5 Rp closing tag </rp>

Note: Rp Tag is new in HTML 5.

The text within the HTML Rp tag will be displayed on the browser if the browser does not supports HTML Ruby Tag.

Also note the usage of HTML Ruby Tag <ruby> for providing the Chinese characters.

HTML Ruby TagHTML Ruby tag <ruby> is used to classify Ruby annotations which are used to illustrate East Asian typography.

HTML Ruby tag <ruby> characters are small (in display) and can be placed above or to the right side of the Chinese or Japanese characters.

HTML Ruby tag characters display the pronunciation of the Chinese or Japanese characters.

HTML Ruby tag is used with the HTML Rt Tag and HTML Rp Tag.

The HTML Ruby tag defines the Chinese or Japanese Characters which needs to be helped in pronunciation and the HTML Rt Tag shows the required pronunciation.

The HTML Rp Tag defines what will be rendered on the browser if the browser does not support HTML Ruby Tag.

HTML 5 Ruby tag is a closed tag and needs HTML 5 Ruby closing tag </ruby>
